The Josephine Ford Cancer Center is one of the largest cancer centers in Michigan. The Center treats more than 14,000 cancer patients each year, and more than 15 percent of all people in southeast Michigan diagnosed with cancer are treated at Henry Ford. Each year, approximately 3,000 newly-diagnosed cancer patients visit the center for treatment.
The Josephine Ford Cancer Center in Michigan is a multidisciplinary program committed to prevention, early detection, treatment and research for cancer care. The Center provides a full continuum of care to patients, from cancer prevention to specialized care for the terminally ill.
Our physicians hold weekly cancer conferences to determine the best cancer treatment options for each patient. Cases are reviewed not by just one doctor, but by a team of doctors, each bringing a specialized knowledge about cancer treatment to bear on the patients' cases.

We promote patient recruitment into clinical trials and research. The Josephine Ford Cancer Center is involved in more than 200 cancer research trials, including the use of the promising suicide gene therapy for colon, prostate and brain cancer.
