Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital Welcomes First Baby

WEST BLOOMFIELD - It's a girl!
The first baby at the new Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital was born to Gail and Shawn Sweeney of St. Clair Shores at 11:05 a.m. on Sunday, March 15.
Weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and 19 ½ inches long, Megan Abigail Sweeney was delivered by Caesarean section by Brent Davidson, M.D., service chief of Women's Health Services. Certified nurse midwives Lynn Rife and Janice McIntosh assisted in the delivery.
Dr. Davidson congratulated the new family and presented them with a gift basket. Gifts included a photography package, a gift certificate for any Matt Prentice restaurant, a "post-partum revitalizer" visit to Vita, the hospital's wellness center, and a $1,000 savings bond.
Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital is located at 6777 W. Maple, between Drake and Halstead Roads, in West Bloomfield.
