Endovascular surgeries are minimally invasive catheter-based approaches that allow the surgeon to repair the diseased or clogged artery or vein via placement of mesh-wire stent devices (like little coiled umbrellas) to improve blood flow.

In 2008, a new Hybrid Operating Room at Henry Ford Hospital, opened, offering the most advanced endovascular surgical suite for patients with vascular disease. Advanced imaging technology in the operating room allows on-site information with significantly less X-ray exposure, providing surgeons real-time details that result in more accurate treatment and safer, shorter procedures.
