Behavioral Health Services (Inpatient & Outpatient)
Henry Ford Cottage Hospital provides a comfortable, caring, safe and confidential environment for individuals and families dealing with an acute mental health issue. Our programs focus on treating the individual and involving the family in the treatment process. A team of mental health and nursing professionals work together with psychiatric staff to meet the specific needs of our patients and their families. Our services are designed for people who are:

Facing a mental health crisis
Having ideas of harming themselves or others
Disoriented and unable to attend to their personal needs
Dealing with a concurrent substance abuse problem
Dealing with a concurrent medical problem

Cottage Hospital Athletic Medicine and Physical Therapy Center (CHAMP)
Physical therapists and athletic trainers treat sports and other injuries in an outpatient setting. The Center includes private treatment rooms and a fully-equipped therapy gym. An athletic trainer also works with local high school athletes, educating them on how to avoid injury and assessing injuries on the playfield when they occur. Henry Ford Rehabilitation Centers also provide outpatient therapies in Warren and Sterling Heights.
Edith McNaughton Ford Center for Radiation Oncology Recognizing the importance of treating the whole person and not just the disease, the Henry Ford Cottage team of board-certified radiation oncologist, therapists, nurses, dosimetrist, and physicist offer technically advanced and personally delivered cancer treatment in a supportive, compassionate and comforting environment. The Center for Radiation Oncology is affiliated with Henry Ford Health System's Josephine Ford Cancer Center, giving eastside residents access to the most advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment protocols available, without leaving their neighborhood.

Henry Ford Hernia Center The Henry Ford Hernia Center at Henry Ford Cottage Hospital offers several treatments for different types of hernias. The most common types of hernias, including inguinal and femoral, now can be treated with a cutting-edge procedure offered here.
Mary Gene Buhl Oppermann Women's Diagnostic Center Henry Ford board-certified radiologists and a specialized staff of technologists provide film-screen and digital mammography, 4-dimensional ultrasound, bone densitometry, and minimally invasive breast biopsy in a female-friendly, attractive and comforting environment. A registered nurse Breast Care Coordinator gives women guidance and support when further testing or surgery is needed.
Medical/Surgical Inpatient Beds
A state-of-the-art inpatient unit, consisting of 20 newly-renovated private patient rooms that offer privacy and comfort. Designed with a home-like setting in mind, each private room comes with a flat screen TV, soothing colors and modern furniture, creating a more comfortable environment in which to receive care. Studies show that hospital-acquired infections in patients drop by 50 percent when they are in private rooms - a major advantage to patients. The new unit enables us to provide care to medical and surgical patients requiring a 23-72 hour stay.
Psychiatric Intake Assessment and Referral Services Psychiatric Intake services are the first point of contact for a patient, their family or a referring physician. Assessment and referral services are available by telephone or in the hospital emergency department. This is completed by a mental health professional in consultation with a multidisciplinary team.
Psychiatric Outpatient Services Working closely with our board-certified psychiatric physicians, we are able to provide a wide variety of outpatient services, including:
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) - The Partial Hospitalization Program provides intensive therapy in an open environment, six hours daily, Monday through Friday. It combines intensive treatment with the comfort of returning home each evening and on weekends. The program provides an excellent opportunity to tailor treatment to a patient's individual needs. The PHP can be a patient's primary course of treatment. It also can be a step-down level of care from inpatient or a step-up level of care from an outpatient office environment.
Clozapine Clinic - The Clozapine Clinic provides the necessary support for patients for whom Clozapine has been prescribed.
Rehabilitation Services (Inpatient & Outpatient)
This specially designed unit offers a home-like environment where patients are able to regain strength and independence following debilitating injury or illness through an individualized plan of care that may include physical, occupational, and speech language therapy. Family members or other support persons are encouraged to participate with the patient on their Rehab team that also includes physicians, nurses, therapists and social workers.
