An MRI or Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a test which uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to make pictures of organs and structures inside the body. An MRI may show problems that cannot be seen with other imaging methods such as: Computed Tomography (CT), ultrasound or x-ray.
