Computerized Tomography Scan (CT)

Computerized Tomography scan or a CT scan is an imaging method that uses x-rays to create cross-sectional pictures of the body.

The CT scan can reveal soft-tissue and other structures that cannot be seen by traditional x-ray. A CT scan can view an entire slice of the body with about 100 times more clarity than an x-ray machine with the same dosage amount of radiation.
