Nursing Administrator for Henry Ford Medical Group Appointed
Linda Harden, R.N., has been appointed nursing administrator for the Henry Ford Medical Group (HFMG).

Harden is administrative manager at the Henry Ford Medical Centers in Taylor and Ann Arbor as well as administrative manager of the HFMG Cardiology/Surgery Clinic located at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.

In her new role, Harden will be responsible for overseeing nursing initiatives, clinical development, standardization of practice, and service excellence standards for nursing to ensure quality, safe clinical practices and regulatory compliance.

The Henry Ford Medical Group is one of the nation's largest group practices, with 900 physicians and researchers in more than 40 specialties who staff Henry Ford Hospital and outpatient medical centers.

Harden has worked for Henry Ford Health System for thirty years in various roles: staff nurse, head nurse, nursing manager, administrative manager, and site administrator. She has chaired the HFMG Ambulatory Nurse Council, and served on numerous HFMG committees. She has also served as adjunct faculty at Henry Ford Community College and has provided volunteer health care work on several medical ministries to underserved countries.

Recognition of her leadership includes receiving the Oakland University's Nightingale Award for Nursing Administration, the Crain's Detroit Business Healthcare Award, and being named Michigan Registered Nurse of the Year by the Detroit Free Press in 2002.

Harden received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Madonna University, and her Master of Science in Health Care Administration Degree from Bellevue University.
