Thousands of physicians, nurses, care partners and administrators further their education each day at the Henry Ford Health System.
From our Continuing Medical Education programs for health care providers to our residencies and fellowships for physicians, we are committed to furthering the clinical excellence we deliver to patients every day.
Henry Ford is an independent academic medical center and one of the largest teaching hospitals in the country. More than 600 residents and fellows and more than 500 third- and fourth-year medical students from schools across the country train here each year. Our research program ranks among the top six percent of all institutions in receiving National Institutes of Health research funding.
Residents and fellows at Henry Ford train in more than 40 clinical specialties and subspecialties. Our dominance in the southeast Michigan market provides our students with a wide array of experience in delivering care. From the urban centers to the outlying suburban sites, our residents and fellows have the opportunity to experience the entire spectrum of medical care.
Beyond residencies and fellowships, Henry Ford is committed to providing educational opportunities to its employees.
Physicians from Henry Ford and around the world come to Detroit to participate in continuing medical education programs, including symposiums on robotic laprascopic radical prostatectomies, new techniques in brain tumor treatment, sports medicine and osteoarthritis treatments.
In addition to our traditional education programs, Henry Ford provides education in osteopathic medicine, healthcare administration, psychology, sonography and radiologic technology.
