Fiebre maculosa de las Montanas Rocosas en el pie

La fiebre manchada de las montanas es causada por el organismo Rickettsia rickettsii y es transmitida por la picadura de garrapata. Esta grave infeccion produce muchos sintomas que afectan todo el cuerpo (sistemicos); tambien causa una erupcion particular en aproximadamente el 90% de las personas infectadas. Esta es la apariencia comun de esta enfermedad.
