Mastoiditis - vista lateral de la cabeza

La mastoiditis es una infeccion de las celdillas aereas oseas ubicadas en la apofisis mastoides, la cual esta localizada detras del oido. Es poco comun en la actualidad gracias al uso de antibioticos en el tratamiento de las infecciones oticas. Este nino presenta drenaje por el oido y enrojecimiento (eritema) detras del pabellon auricular, sobre el hueso mastoides.
