Es un trastorno autoinmunitario que involucra hiperactividad de la glandula tiroides (hipertiroidismo). Las caracteristicas distintivas de esta afeccion son los ojos saltones (exoftalmos), intolerancia al calor, incremento de la energia, dificultad para dormir, diarrea y ansiedad.
