Globulos rojos drepanociticos

La anemia falciforme es una enfermedad hereditaria de la sangre en la cual los globulos rojos producen pigmento (hemoglobina) anormal. La hemoglobina anormal hace que los globulos rojos adquieran forma de medialuna u hoz, como se observa en esta microfotografia.
