I received my medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit.

My post-graduate training was received from Wayne State University Afifiliated Hospitals, in General Residency, Department of Surgery and as a NIH Research Fellow, Departments of Surgery and Biochemistry, Wayne State University.

I am board certified with the American Board of Surgery and I have a clinical and special medical interest in laparoscopic bariatric surgery.
